Kathleen Parker is a Human Resources Executive with 25+ years of experience in manufacturing, transportation, and the service industry. She was most recently the Vice President of Human Resources for Standard Furniture Manufacturing with factories in five states. In this role, she built the HR infrastructure and oversaw the successful cease of operations of a union manufacturing division located at the corporate office.
Prior to her tenure at Standard Furniture, Kathleen was the Area Human Resources Director for Republic Services and Director of Human Resources at Taylor Wharton in Mobile.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from the University of South Alabama. In her long career in HR, Kathleen has guided companies through the complexities of labor relations, starting with taking the appropriate steps to prevent unionization. She has extensive experience in collective bargaining, compliance with a negotiated contract, and investigations involving union and non-union employees.
Kathleen can help your company evaluate current HR services and/or build your HR infrastructure, navigate HR compliance-related laws, can conduct thorough investigations, and can deliver “just in time” coaching and training for managers regarding sensitive issues. Dee Ann taught her first corporate training class in 1990, and has been hooked ever since. Sales, management, leadership, board governance, strategic planning, communication, software, and all matters of HR compliance…she can design and deliver fun and impactful training that will transfer to the job.
A former Divisional Training Manager with Macy’s, Director of Training for Sheraton, Corporate Talent Development Manager at Standard Furniture, and most recently Sr. Manager of Implementation and Training for Dominion Dealer Solutions where she led a team to design and deliver training for the first cloud-native DMS software platform... she is has the experience to create and implement training that will drive results.
Dee Ann is a bit of a wordsmith who loves to write policies, procedures, handbooks, and talking points. She is an experienced technology trainer for Microsoft Office applications... her favorite is Excel. Dee Ann enjoys breaking down complex technical language into easily understood chunks of learning and creating easy to grab job aids to assist in knowledge transfer to the job.
A proud graduate of Florida State University, Dee Ann also attended the University of South Alabama’s Instructional Design and Development Master’s program. Dee Ann is a certified Personify Leadership© and Everything Disc© facilitator.
